This is an illustration that I created using ink, stains and gouache. The linework and textures were created with a fountain pen. This illustration is essential to the next two illustrations because this same bird is featured to show the scale of the other characters.

The flow of this piece and the perspective is what makes this illustration engaging. For example the crab at the bottom leads your eyes through to the jellyfish and then you're directed to the top where the top turns into an island. My linework separates the two jellyfish so they don't blend into one.

This design shows my creative and imaginative design work. I used precise linework to show the form and texture of the interacting tentacles. I could create similar illustrations for books, concept work or clothing.
